Skoda Citigo is Czech Up!
After the great success of Volkswagen Up a turned version of Skoda – Citigo did not keep to wait for it for a long time.
The company Skoda announced plans of releasing a small city car on the base of Volkswagen Up. The car will be named Skoda Citigo.
Citigo actually is the same Up that is why the similarity of the cars is natural. The same applies to the dimensions (length 3.56 m, width – 1,65 m, height – 1.48 m) and a number of body parts. The only hint of belonging to Skoda is only the front part of the car which is accomplished by inspiration given by the concepts of MissionL and VisionD.
The car will be well equipped, although the list of options will be traditionally more modest than the Volkswagen Up!
As for power units, Skoda Citigo will come with liter three-cylinder engine producing 60 or 75 hp. Only mechanical transmission will initially be offered. Fuel consumption 60-strong version will be only 4.5 liters per 100 kilometers, a “charged” version spends a little more – 4.7 liters per 100 kilometers.
Skoda Citigo will be on sale later this year, still only in the Czech Republic but also in other markets premier is not long to wait. A 3-door of 5-door version of it will be offered to a buyer.
